^^^On the way home to Rexburg, we stopped at a gas station to fill up and it had this dinosaur outside so we took tons of pictures with it.

Oh... How time flies!

Every time I come to my blog so much time has gone by. A lot has happened since the last time I blogged. For starters, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend General Conference. I went down to Salt Lake City with some friends and we spent the weekend there. We watched conference and just enjoyed each other's company. It was tons of fun! We got down around 9:30 on Friday night and watched a Wall-E with Zach's family. On Saturday we watched both sessions of conference and afterward we went to Temple Square, which was closed by the time we got there. But we drove around the city and saw a lot of things. It was really awesome! I went to East High, which is where they made High School Musical for those of you that don't know. And as I'm sure you all know, I am obsessed with HSM. And then on Sunday we watched the Sunday Morning Session and had lunch. Then we got dressed and went to Temple Square. We walked around and I got to take a ton of great pictures. One of my favorite things was that there were flowers all over the grounds of the temple. I really enjoyed being able to go to the conference center and hear the words of the prophets and apostles. It was so beautiful in there, and it was such a wonderful experience. I am really glad that My friends made me go! I almost didn't go because it was the last weekend before finals and I had so much to do, but nothing could have set me up for a better week.

I am into my second semester, and I am still loving it. Idaho is much more pleasant without snow. However, the wind has picked up a lot! I have made a lot of new friends this semester, and our apartment is the cool, new hangout spot. every night we have people show up in our apartment and hang out. I have a new roommate that is from GA!!! Her name is Melissa and she is from the Duluth area. She is great and I love her!! So far, everything is GREAT!!!!

I have some great pictures to post but I will do it later!!

well, well, well.....

The time between blog posts goes by too fast!! I can't believe it but my first semester at BYUI is almost over. I am excited and sad at the same time! Baby D, or Dallin, was born last Wednesday the 18th and I was really down in the dumps and missing my family. And then my birthday was on Monday, and my roommates decorated the apartment while I was in class. And then at FHE my family made it one of my best birthdays yet. They all went around the room and said something that they like about me. It really helped me and lifted my spirits. I'm going to miss them so much next semester, most of them are leaving :( !!!

^^^This is what they call Donkey Basketball, I had never heard of it until I came to Idaho. It was very mind boggling, and HILARIOUS!!

^^^This is our group picture of our FHE family...from me and clockwise: Maddy, McKenzie, Brittney, Artie, Zach, Caitlin (mom), Craig(dad), Mark, Katie, Becky, and Janna.

^^^ My birthday decorations!!

^^^ My birthday cake that Janna made for FHE.
^^^ you may wonder why I am playing in the snow with a spatula, but I am burying my OJ in the snow. We thought that our fridge was broken and we had just come home from the store. We didn't want our stuff to get warn so we buried our milk and my OJ in the snow. It kept the stuff nice and icy.

College Life.....

I went sledding with my FHE Family on monday night. It was a lot of fun. I stayed down at the bottom to take pictures of my brothers and sisters while they were sledding. I am having a lot of fun here at BYU-I. I have made a lot of new friends, and I am really glad that I chose to come here. I don't really like the weather here. It's a little too dry for my tastes. My skin is so dry, but a plus is that I usually have pretty good hair days here. I have 3 really great roommates that I love. We all get along really well. I am also in a great ward! I love my ward on campus. I am the secretary in the Relief Society and I am growing to love it. All in all, I am having a great experience. I still really miss all of my family and friends. Sometimes I get a little down, especially when I look at pictures of everyone. But I know I will see them again, and I love everyone!!!

I'm here!

Well, I am in Idaho. It took a lot for me to get over to that sign.... lol. First, I left from my dad's on Christmas day. Went home gathered up some stuff and did a few last minute things. I then proceeded to drive down to Tifton, where I parted with Vicki. It was very sad. We got up and headed out around 8:30 or so the next morning. It took us about 36 hours to get to Craig, Colorado. We spent 2 nights there with some friends. Then we drove down to Salt Lake City to see Emily. We spent the day with her and her family. We celebrated Amelia's birthday with them. That night we also went to Temple Square because I've never been there. It was Beautiful!!
After spending the night at Emily's little apartment, we got up the next morning and went to have ice cream. There's this really cool ice cream place called SubZero. It was amazing!! They freeze the ice cream right in front of you using liquid nitrogen. It was really cool. Then we drove up to Rexburg. We stayed with the awesome Hill Family for about a week. They are this family that Eileen knew on her mission. They are really nice. It's nice to know that there's somebody close by that will help you if you need it. I moved into my dorm on Saturday. I really like it except I don't like the bed. It's one of those lofted beds with space underneath for a desk. I can't sleep up there. I don't know what it is, either being up too high, or something. I slept on the couch last night. It was so hot in our room too. I slept with the window open! It snowed all day yesterday and a lot of today. It was so cool to be able to see snow falling. Today, Eileen and David and the girls came by to say goodbye. It was really hard to say goodbye to everyone. I have cried like a baby several times, but hopefully it will get easier once I get used to being out here. Here we are at Emily's with the snowman that the kids built.
