I am such a SLACKER!

I have to get better at updating my blog. It's the only way that I will remember things that happen... lol, this is basically my journal! Anyhow, not much has been going in the wonderful life of Hanga. Just doing the laundry and hanging out with Gretchen. And helping around the house in any way that I can. I've done a lot of rearranging around the house. I rearranged the kids rooms twice in the last 2 weeks, and I am hoping not to do it again for awhile. Eileen is unhappy with her room now, so I guess that's the next project... I'll actually have something to blog about after next week. Eileen and David are taking the kids to Disney World and I get to go with them. We leave sometime Thursday morning, and we'll be back on Tuesday. I am really looking forward to it! I can't wait to go! I've been going to physical therapy to help with my leg, and last week I was cleared to stop going! My physical therapist said that she thinks that my ankle is strong enough for me to just keep working it on my own to strengthen it. It's still going to take some time but for all intensive purposes, I am healed! These are some pictures that I took of Gretchen and Dallin. And also some pictures from Gretchen's birthday. We had a little family party, all of us and Grandmom and Granddad came over. It was really fun!

Home....

This is Gretchen and I on Granddaddy's golf cart! That is definitely the fun activity for the kids on the compound. We go borrow the golf cart and ride around the compound. Jed and I have made a couple of movie on the golf cart, check them out on FaceBook.
This is our recreation of Lehi's dream. You can't see the great and spacious building or the man in the white robe but they are there.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!! Amelia started kindergarden and Stella is in 2nd grade! I'm glad I was able to be here on Amelia's first day of school... I think they are enjoying it! We certainly enjoy the peace and quiet of having everyone at school!
I took David's fake leg and painted the nails on it while he was gone one day! I also painted the nails on his gator leg. I painted those blue and orange to match it! It was hilarious. I did this a couple weeks ago and its still there! Its still funny whenever I see it!

So I've been home for about a month and I am loving it! I am still wearing my boot, I go back to the doctor in about a week and a half and hopefully I'll be able to go without it then. I haven't been working, because of the whole leg thing. I spend most of the day hanging out with Gretchen, and doing the laundry. I don't know what Eileen is going to do when I leave. I've spoiled her by doing the laundry and someof the cleaning most everyday while she is out running errands and stuff. Everyone now refers to me as SuperNanny these days. It's kind of interesting... Dallin is actually real to me now! See, before I came home I hadn't seen him and i didn't know that he existed. But now he does!!! He is the sweetest baby! I love him tons! I also have my little buddy Gretchen back! I missed her so much!!! I am enjoying my time with Estella and Amelia also! We have tons of fun together (when everyone isn't fighting that is...)! Last week I helped Nancy set up a recreation of Lehi's dream! It was really fun to do. I have also been going to Institute, which is pretty fun! We are studying Book of Mormon which is what I just finished studying at school, but it is a nice refresher. Well, that's it for now! Sorry its been so long, I didn't think anyone read my blog so I've been slacking. But I've been informed that everyone does read it...

5 MORE DAYS!!!

Well, really more like 5 1/2. I am super excited to come home!!! I was going to post everyday for the last 10 days before I come home. But on day 10 I had a little mishap. Last Thursday, I went to the park with Zach, Maddy, and some of Maddy's friends. The group we were meeting decided to play football, but we decided to play basketball instead. I had worn flip flops over to the park, because we were going off campus and I take advantage of any opportunity to wear flip flops. Anyways, when we started playing, I kicked them off. Zach and I were on a team and he passed the ball to me. I missed it, of course. And I chased after it. I ran onto the grass and apparently it was wet. I slipped and fell. When I landed my foot sort of went underneath me, and then I heard a really loud pop! It was terrible. Everyone ran over and started analyzing the situation. They all decided that I should go to the ER. By this point, I was in terrible pain and I didn't really care what they decided. Needless to say, in my 2nd trip to that hospital in 2 weeks time, I sprained my ankle and broke my fibula. I am in one of those stupid boots. I go back to the doctor on Thursday to have my leg x-rayed again to make sure its healing ok. If its not, then I will be put into a regular cast. I was already scared to fly home by myself, because I was scared I would get lost or something, but now its even worse. My new nicknames are The Hobbler, The Cripple, Crutchy, or the Gimp, among others. Everyone is having tons of fun with my crutches. The boys love to tickle me, especially now that I can't get away. I will post some pictures soon!

So its been an adventurous couple of days... I can't wait to get back to GEORGIA!!!

22ish days until...

HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes the time between blogs just flies by. I didn't even realize how long its been since I posted on here. So here goes... Life at BYUI is still going pretty good. I have had a ton of fun out here, but I am beyond ready to come home. We only have about 3 weeks left in the semester, and its going pretty fast. I have tons of projects and assignments coming at the last minute! But I decided not to get overwhelmed like last semster. Just taking them one at a time, instead of trying to do it all at once. A friend of ours has started doing a massive slip-n-slide. We went out there last weekend and my roommates did the slide. It was really fun! I got some pretty good pictures out there. Last week I was sick. I went to the doctor and found out that I have a kidney infection. I was in a lot of pain. I spent the whole weekend either in doctors/hospitals or on the couch. On Saturday, which was the 4th, I went to Idaho Falls to spend the day with the Murrays. They are way awesome! I love them tons! I have also accumulated a pet squirrell. I named him finnegan. He comes around every couple of days and we feed him nuts or bread or something. Its really cool, everyone thinks I'm weird but I have never gotten that close to a squirrell before. i thought it was really cool to be able to feed him out of my hand.
^^^ This is Finnegan. This was the first time I met him.^^^

^^^These are my arms after having blood work done two days in a row. They are finally starting to go away...^^^

^^^These are some picture that I took in the gardens on campus. I love the garden. It is a really quiet and peaceful place to go. There are tons of flowers for me to take pictures of. We also love to go play hide and seek or sardines out there after dark.^^^

This is the "Laundry Chute" the 40 yard slip-n-slide that our friend puts out on Saturdays.

We have got to start locking our door....

Ok, so my roommates and I went into town to have chinese for lunch on Saturday. while we were there Melissa got a call from our friend Dallin. He was in our apartment and wondering where we were. She said she could hear stuff moving around in the background. When we came home our apartment was trashed! LOL it was hilarious though. The above are a couple of pictures of what he did. Not to mention our floor was absolutely disgusting from our water fight on Friday.
The last couple of days in Rexburg have been a little weird for me. There has been "snow" falling. It's really some kind of cotton blossom, that blows around campus all day. The tree below is the culprit of the "snow". We have been keeping our door and windows open to allow cool air to come in, but the snow blows in and gets our carpet all gross.

We had one of the greatest water fights ever. It was so much fun. Janna texted me and told me that we should bomb Craig with water balloons when they get home. So Melissa, April and I went to work. We started filling up balloons. I kept spraying myself while I was at the sink filling them, so I decided to get my roomies a little wet as well. I would over-fill the balloons and then squirt the extra water all over them. Melissa and I got April right over near our bedroom doors. We got water in the apartment, but we didn't really care. Our Kitchen floor was completely covered in water and our living room carpet was drenched by the end. Once the balloons were gone, we started filling up trashcans, bowls and anything else we could find. I dumped a whole trashcan full of water on Craig while he was standing in our kitchen. I was also sitting on the side of the bathtub filling up a trashcan when Craig came in and pushed me into the bathtub. I just hung out there for a while and turned the shower on. It was tons of fun!!!

Here we all are after our water fight. I've been informed that this was not the best water fight ever, Annette told me that they used to have the best water fights with their Mom, because she would bring the water hose inside the house to get them. If we had a hose, we probably would have had it in our apartment. Our apartment is finally clean, because I cleaned for 3 hours on saturday night. I was all alone for those 3 hours and I love cleaning when no one else is home. I moved all of the furniture around, and vacuumed everything. Its nice to be able to walk into a clean apartment. I have begun the countdown to home.... 54ish Days. The -ish is because I'm not exactly sure what day I will be flying out. I can't wait!!!

Utah... Part 2!

Here are some more pictures from Utah. These are on the way home. We stopped at this little park near the Utah State Capital. And the rest are just taken in the car as we were driving. The first one was the sun setting on the way home. At the park, there was a river that was rushing by under a bridge, that is the second picture. The fourth one is the clouds next to the road. It was really cool because it was really dark and then suddenly it was getting lighter, and then the sun started shining. The last one is a picture of a flower that I took at the park. This was a pretty good weekend. I got a lot of great pictures!!

Salt Lake City!

This is how most of my weekend was spent. About 10 feet behind these two. In my own little box where I didn't exist 95% of the time.

This is my new favorite way to take pictures. I love taking pictures of flowers with the Temple in the background. I think it is really beautiful.

Here is Janna, Craig and I on the roof of the Conference Center. The tour was such a great thing to do. We went there for conference but to actually take a tour was really awesome!

For Memorial Day weekend, we didn't have classes today or yesterday so we took a trip down to Utah. On Friday, I went to see Terminator Salvation with Janna and Craig. It was an awesome movie!! I loved it! Saturday we drove down, and stopped in Salt Lake City. We took a tour of the conference center, and walked around inside Temple Square. All of these pictures are from Saturday. After our time in Salt Lake, we went down to Provo. Janna's sister is at school at BYU. We stayed with her and played. They have a pool right outside of their apartment so we swam a little bit. Well, Janna did. I sat beside the pool and watched her. On Sunday, Hayli came over and I got to see her for a couple hours. It was a really good bit of home. Yesterday, Janna's sister had a ward bbq that we went to. We had fun playing games and running around outside. Then we went to the mall and walked around there for awhile. Last night we went to see Night at the Museum 2. It was so funny! I loved that one too! This morning Emily (Sister Burgess)came down to Provo to see me. We went and had breakfast at the BYU creamery. It was so GREAT to see her. Over all I had a GREAT weekend!!!

Dunes. who knew sand could be fun?? Not me!

This past weekend we all went out to the sand dunes. It was so much fun!! Who knew that sand could be fun. I think we probably brought 1/2 of the dunes home with us. We met at wal-mart and that should explain the picture of my roommates in the buggy. Once everyone was there we headed out to the dunes. Everyone had tons of fun jumping off the dunes doing crazy things. I got some pretty sweet pictures out there. I may have said this before, but coffee creamer and fire are a pretty sweet combo. This is a video of this past weekend's fire. We have plans this weekend to go down to Utah. Hopefully I will get some really good pictures at Temple Square. I hope it won't be as crowded since it is not conference weekend. I am SO happy that we don't have classes on Monday and Tuesday!! It's gonna be a nice LONG weekend in Utah.
